As part of efforts to curb the raging xenophobic attacks in South Africa, Nigeria has approved the evacuation of her compatriots from the country.
The approval was made by the incumbent administration under President Goodluck Jonathan just at the peak of the bloody attacks also accompanied with several losses.
The Nigerian Commission in South Africa will commence the evacuation of Nigerians on Monday, April 20, 2015.
The Nigerian Consul-General, Ambassador Uche Ajulu-Okeke observed that Nigerians in South Africa have recorded many losses following the attacks.
Among the enlisted losses were looted shops, burnt shops, two burnt mechanic workshops, 11 burnt cars and two stolen cars.
