JUST IN: Workers Shut Down NNPC Nationwide As Fuel Scarcity Bites Harder

Must read

The lingering fuel scarcity currently plaguing Nigeria bites harder just as the employers of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, shut down the activities of the corporation nationwide.

The aggrieved workers under the aegis of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), vented their anger over being neglected in the decision making of the unbundling exercise.

According to Vanguard, some of the workers who preferred anonymity chided the Federal Government led by General Muhammadu Buhari, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr. Ibe Kachikwu and the management of the NNPC for taking such decision which concerns and affect the future of the workers without due consultations.

This is coming in the wake of the most recent scarcity of petrol which has become a luxury in virtually all parts of the nation.
