A marriage proposal that was supposed to be unique had turned sour after a woman fell from the top of a 65ft. tall cliff where her fiance proposed to her.
29-year-old Dimitrina Dimitrova’s boyfriend took her to Cala Tarida, a beach resort in the western seaboard of the Spanish island of Ibiza, renowned for its sunset views in order to pop the big question but it ended in a memorable tragedy.
The woman from Bulgaria suffered a heart attack and became unconscious after the tragic fall and when medical officials arrived the scene, they discovered she had already died.
Police officials revealed that the woman lost balance while she was jumping out of excitement and fell off the cliff.
A local Civil Guard spokesman also maintained that her death is highly as a result of the ‘tragic freak accident’.
A source said she fell seconds after her partner surprised her by proposing to her as she jumped up and down with emotion.
According to Mail Online, the deceased had arrived in the region two days earlier to visit her partner, a waiter who lived and worked nearby, and to look for work herself.
Unfortunately, she did not live to tell the rest of the story.
