A 45-year old woman walked of the rubble of the collapsed section of the Synagogue Church of All Nations building unaided at about 2 am on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 as rescue efforts continue on the site of the collapse.
The news was made public by the South-West Spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye said the woman, who has been trapped under the rubble since Friday, September 12, 2014, hale and hearty.
“She was traumatized, so we didn’t want her to talk. But she sustained little injuries on her ankle and wrist,” Mr. Farinloye said in a phone interview with Premium Times.
Meanwhile 8 more bodies have been recovered over the night, bringing the number of dead to 57, with 131 rescued as a press time.
Farinloye further stated that with the aid of sniffer dogs who have been drafted to help with rescue efforts, rescue operation might be concluded on Tuesday, September 16, 2014.
