Goodluck was finally caught in a house located at Sule Babalola Street, Agbado.

The victim reportedly sustained scars of lashes from his mum because he greeted a neighbour with whom she had grudges.

It was gathered that some well-meaning persons took in the boy and fed him before taking him to the Ijaiye-Ojokoro Police Station to file a report.

According to Punch, the primary two pupil was taken to a general hospital for treatment. He was seen playing around on Sunday when our correspondent visited the police station.

While accepting that she was over-reacted, Goodluck said she was frustrated into committing the act by her son who she described as troublesome.

She said, “I have realised that I over-reacted. Kingsley is very stubborn and troublesome. He won’t sit at home. He will be jumping from one house to another. I was frustrated. I promise it will never happen again. I have learnt my lesson.”

Confirming the incident, the state police image maker, DSP Kenneth Nwosu revealed that the woman who wept profusely at the station was still undergoing some questioning and would be charged to court afterwards.

He said, “This is a case of child abuse. The 23-year-old mother was arrested on Sule Babalola Street, Agbado.

“The boy was abandoned in a bad condition. He was treated at the Lagos State General Hospital, Ile Epo. The mother is under interrogation.”
