A 64-year-old woman was arrested for shooting at a man’s truck and destroying the back window because she was so infuriated to see the man picking a mango that fell from her tree.
The victim, Christopher Richey said that he was on his way back from an anniversary celebration with his wife when he saw the mango laying on the pavement on front of the home in Fort Myers.
He further explained how he stopped to pick up the mango from the ground when the homeowner, Josefina Tometich, sighted him.
According to World Wide Weird News, Tometich allegedly went home, returned with a BB gun and followed Richey. When he stopped at a stop sign, she used the BB gun to shoot out the back window of Richey’s truck, police said.
The apparently enraged woman claimed that Richey walked onto her property and stole the mango from her front lawn without permission.
Tometich’s family said that they have “no trespassing” signs on their property, and they will now add security cameras to catch “mango thieves.”
