Some good Samaritans had on Thursday, May 7, 2015 rescued an elderly woman from a river following a failed suicide attempt.
The woman whose identity was not disclosed was reportedly rescued from River Kathita in Meru, Kenya.

It was learnt that she tried to take her own life by jumping into the river out of frustration of not being able to provide her children’s school fees.
