A man, Tahi Harroba Manaa, 37, had allegedly killed his wife after he drove an electric drill into her brain and subsequently used a screw driver to stab her in the eye and then stuffed her in a cupboard.
Sara al Shourefi, 28, was allegedly inflicted with about 270 injuries while their four children, aged eight, six, four and two were in the house in Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
“Controlling, possessive and jealous” Manaa is alleged to have attacked his wife with items including an electric drill, a screwdriver, metal bars and a knife in a 105-minute assault, Metro UK reports.
The man was arrested and charged to court where he pleaded guilty of manslaughter but denied murder on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
The prosecutor of the case, Nicholas Campbell QC, said, ‘She had been hit over the head repeatedly with a variety of weapons.
He further revealed that after committing the heinous crime, Manaa stuffed the lifeless body of his wife in a cupboard and called his nephew, Ahmad Jabber‘ to the scene and said, I have killed my wife’.
An autopsy was conducted on the corpse of the deceased and it revealed that she had died from brain injuries, inhaling blood and blood loss.
