A 22-year-old woman, Mary Atiake, has been remanded in Kirikiri prison for using razor blade to cut the face of another woman, Sarah Ogunyemi, over allegation that she slept with her boyfriend identified simply as Joe.
Atiake, said to be a daughter of a senior police officer serving in Lagos State, was arraigned before an Ejigbo Chief Magistrates’ Court.
It was learnt that Atiake met Ogunyemi in her lover’s house at Olowo Close in Igando area of the state and a fight ensued between them over the young man, resulting in her picking up a razor blade and lacerating her rival’s face.
Close sources revealed that Joe and the defendant were dating for over a year but started going out with Ogunyemi.
When confronted, Joe denied the claims but was caught by Atiake on a fateful morning when she went to his house without prior information only to meet the victim sleeping inside the room clad in her night wears.
According to the sources, Atiake out of fury, rushed out and bought the blade with which she severely cut the victim during a face off..
Pulse reports that the victim was said to have bled profusely from her wounds and was rushed to the Igando General Hospital for treatment while the matter was reported at the Igando Police Division and Atiake was arrested.
It was learnt that the bone of contention, Joe, already abandoned the two women.
Meanwhile, Atiake was remanded in prison custody until Wednesday, July 29, 2015 for further mention.
But in a twist, another close friend of the randy Joe says he has since dumped the two warring women for another woman.
