Nigerian singer, Wizkid has revealed that he’s leaving Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) after five years of a successful music career with the record label.
He said that his upcoming album will be his last project on the E.M.E. label.
The reason for his exit he says is for growth in his music career and an opportunity for him to focus on his record company, Starboy entertainment label.
Wizkid states that he’s not leaving E.M.M out of spite that his relationship with the label is still solid.
He says they are still “family and will continue doing business together as Banky W, Tunde and Segun Demuren, who groomed him, were all his big brothers and there was no love lost between them.”
Wizkid rose to prominence with his song ‘Holla at Your Boy’ and has many awards to his credit including BET awards, MOBO awards and Headies.
