Former chief of staff to Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina state, Salisu Yusuf Majigiri has been appointed chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state following the voluntary resignation of acting chairman Abdulrahman Korofi.
No reason was given for his resignation.
The new acting chairman in the state was unveiled during an enlarged meeting of the party with had EXCOs from, wards, local government and states in attendance.
Majigiri who had served as a ward Councillor, chairman and member of the house of representative pledged to give his best in rebuilding the party.
