Wilshere To Face Lengthy Spell On The Sidelines

Must read

Some football players are just so unlucky to be plagued with injuries of all sorts during their career. One of such players is Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere. The 23-year-old missed about six months of the 2014/2015 season after he hurt his ankle during his side’s 1-2 loss to Manchester United in November 2014.

Arsenal fans who had thought they would say the English midfielder return to action this season were disappointed when he wasn’t included in the side that faced Chelsea in last weekend’s Community Shield game which the Gunners won.

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger had stated afterwards that Wilshere will be only out for days. Those ‘days’ could now turn to months. It has been revealed that Wilshere has suffered an hairline fracture of his left fibula during training.

The extent of damage on the player’s left Fibula will be disclosed on Friday, August 7, 2015 after scans have been done. The injury can lay him off for as long as three months or as little as six weeks.
