Following the appearance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari at the prestigious Chatham House, London on Thursday, February 26, 2015, Nigerians have began demanding a public appearance of the former Head of State which has failed to suffice.
Today marks 7 days since General Buhari made a public appearance at his one-hour show at Chatham House – which was not devoid of controversy, as police had to whisk him away to avoid being mobbed – has further fueled claims that he is not in the best state of health to rule Nigeria.
Prior to Buhari’s Chatham House speech, he had been missing from public view for 10 days. His trip to London was announced as a “short visit” by the APC Presidential campaign spokesman, Shehu Garba.
It has also been serially reported that General Buhari is still in a London Hospital. The Trent confirmed that the former military dictator was in London on a medical trip, after speaking with his close aides.
Other reports have it that the former military ruler is avoiding an avalanche of court cases filed against him both for his inability to submit his academic credentials and the 2011 post-election violence.
Feelers have it that the APC on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 began kitting a story together claiming that General Buhari has returned to the country, although Nigerians have refused to agree with the claim, voicing their discontent via social media platform, Twitter with the hashtags, #WhereIsBuhari and #BringBackBuhari:

The reasons for Nigerians not believing the APC story of General Buhari’s return may not be unconnected to the recent untrue news which have been sold to the Nigerian public by the opposition party. This includes a supposed London interview with a US based TV show, discovered to have been held in Abuja, but made to pass off as one held in UK by the APC.
On a lighter note, other reports have it that General Buhari is currently vying for the office of Mayor of London.
