We are used to politicians’ debates getting a little heated and spill over into minor scuffles on TV.
In the video above, two Jordanian journalists came to blows during a live TV discussion about Syria and came to blows live on air.
The presenter of the show, Zuhair al Azza appeared unable to control the pair as al Johari lifted the table top up and started kicking out at al Jayousi.
They appeared on ‘Between Opposing Opinions’ on Jordan’s 7 Stars TV network, and Shaker al Johari and Mohammed al Jayousi sure had strong opposing opinions.
Al Jayousi said that Johari supported the Syrian revolution while the counter argument was that Al Jayousi was being paid to support Assad’s regime.
Al Jayousi accused Johari of being a “deviant” and told him to “shut up” after the bribe allegation before the latter stood up and the shoving began.
Presenter Zuhair al Azza appeared unable to control the pair as al Johari lifted the table top up and started kicking out at al Jayousi.
Eventually the scrap was stopped when production staff intervened and pulled the men apart.
