Gay couple, Trevor Harper and Davis Covin met and fell in love and has been dating since 2006.

The pair from Texas has been proud and active members of the First United Methodist Church of Austin for about two years.

So when Harper decided he wanted to propose, he knew he wanted to do it in front of their church family, just to feel unique.

Right before the full gaze of some fellow happy congregation, he popped the big question and of course, his boyfriend affirmed to the proposal.

So now the duo are engaged and are expected to ring the wedding bells anytime soon.

Despite The United Methodist Churches official stance on same-sex marriage, Harper painstakenly made t clear  that he and Covin have always been accepted in their church.

He told Buzzfeed News: “That church has been, for us, really the first time we have really been able to live out loud as a couple.”

It was this acceptance that he wanted to portray through his proposal video which he posted to Youtube, with caption: “This is a church that has welcomed us and changed our lives. All are welcome, no exceptions.”

Some photos of the engagement can be seen below. (Click on any image to enlarge).
