A couple faces up to 15 years jail term after they were caught having sex on a beach in broad daylight.
The randy pair will now have to register as sex offenders for the lewd display on Cortez beach in Florida.
40-year-old Jose Caballero and his 20-year-old partner, Elissa Alvarez, were on Monday, May 4, 2015 found guilty and charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious behaviour.
Video played in the courtroom during the one and half day-long trial showed Alvarez moving on top of Caballero in a sexual manner in broad daylight and witnesses testified that a 3-year-old girl saw them according to Miami Herald.
Court insiders at the Manatee County Judicial Center in Bradenton, revealed that because Caballero has previously served eight years in prison for cocaine trafficking, he is likely to serve the full 15 years for the offence.
Assistant State Attorney Anthony Dafonseca said, “We gave them a reasonable offer, what we felt was reasonable, and they decided it wasn’t something they wanted to accept responsibility for, despite the video, despite all the witnesses.”
“He’s a great person,’ Caballero’s mother said in reaction.
“There are other things out there we need to worry about, and they’re still loose, people who have done worse stuff.”
“She’s an 18-year-old woman with a 40-year-old man,” said Carlos Alvarez of his daughter Elissa Alvarez.
“I always say women can be better than men … but they fall in love and they make a lot of mistakes.”
