A huge storm, Storm Caroline, is predicted to hit the United Kingdom this weekend.
UK’s meteorogical office has issued yellow weather warnings for snow, ice, and wind on Friday and Saturday.
The met office says Storm Caroline may bring up to 2-5cm of snow, with higher ground seeing as much as 10-20cm. Coupled with high winds, snowy conditions may turn into blizzards in some areas.
Gusts of up to 80mph are expected in northern part of Scotland as gales hit the UK on Thursday. ‘Be aware’ weather warnings are due to be in place until Saturday, with disruption to travel and potential power cuts expected.
It is expected to feel as cold as -16C with the worst conditions hitting the higher ground in northern Britain.
