The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has summoned an emergency summit in Accra, Ghana on Thursday, November 6, 2014, in order to proffer a solution to the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) ravaging Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea in West Africa.
West African leaders including representatives from the United Nations and the World Health Organization (WHO) are expected to come out with solutions on how to help the Ebola-hit West African countries deal with the virus.
According to a Tweet on Thursday, November 6, 2014, by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan is represented by the vice-president Namadi Sambo due to the prolonged meditation talks in Burkina Faso which delayed his return to Abuja.
