Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, has on Saturday, February 23, 2019, dismissed a report that he voted manually at his Polling Unit 006 in Oro, Irepodun LG in Kwara South, after the card reader failed to authenticate him during today’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.
“This report is patently false and is apparently sponsored by those who are on the verge of losing their political hegemony in Kwara State,” his media aide Segun Adeyemi said in an e-mailed statement to The Trent.
“The correct report is that the Minister proceeded to cast his vote after his voter’s card was duly authenticated by the card reader, his fingerprints captured and his name and picture identified in the voters’ register,” Adeyemi said.
