Violent Crowd Disrupts Buhari’s Campaign In Jos, Force President To Leave

Must read

A violent crowd stormed Rwang Pam Stadium, venue of President Muhammadu Buhari’s election campaign in Jos on Saturday, disrupting the programme of events.

As efforts to resist the crowd failed, security agents had to whisk Buhari out of the venue before he could deliver his speech. Governor Simon Lalong and the director general of the Buhari/Osinabajo Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, were not also able to deliver any speech at the venue of the rally.

Political analyst and blogger, Greg Agbolu responding to claims that the rally was disrupted by a massive turnout of Buhari supporters who overwhelmed the venue said the rally was indeed disrupted by men armed with swords and other weapons.

Agbolu said: “that supposedly “jubilant crowds” would be the same unprecedented “avalanche of rowdy crowds, some of whom carried swords, clubs and other deadly objects.

“Although no physical violence was noticed anywhere, some youths from the crowds used rocks and other objects to break down the entrance gate and iron fences of the stadium”.

“How jubilant or excited are these Plateau youths over their guest, President Buhari, really?
I’m confused.
