Nigeria’s Vice President, Namadi Sambo has sent a congratulatory message to former Federal Capital Territory minister, Nasir El-Rufai over his victory in the Kaduna State governorship election.
This was disclosed via a statement issued by El-Rufai’s Spokesperson, Samuel Aruwan and dated Monday, April 13, 2015 and comes after incumbent Governor Ramalan Yero – who El-Rufai defeated – put a congratulatory call through to El-Rufai.
Aruwan further disclosed that Sambo wished El-Rufai a successful tenure, advising him to transfer his wealth of experience into governance for the peace and development of Kaduna State and Nigeria in general.
The Vice President also appealed to the people of the state to throw their weight behind El-Rufai.
