In a determined effort to achieve a secession of the Igbo Nation, some veterans of Biafran Army had staged a solidarity march.
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), made up of Igbos in Nigeria who feel undermined and some others across the globe who have been displaced ever since the war ended in 1970, are at the forefront of the movement to achieve a Biafran State.

It will be recalled that the Radio Biafra Director, Nnamdi Kanu was taken into custody by the Department of State Services, DSS, also known as the SSS in Lagos State shortly after he arrived the country.
Ever since his detention, different groups have staged protests in different states across the nation calling for his release.

Reports earlier had it that he has been granted bail and was yet to meet the conditions, but contrary reports later revealed that he was still under detention and even denied access to his lawyer.
