Veteran Nollywood actor, Martins Njubuigbo, popularly known as Elder Maya, is reportedly battling for his life after he was diagnosed with a liver-related disease in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos State.
Elder Maya, is reportedly currently facing excruciating pains from the ailment which came with swollen legs and stomach.
One of his colleagues in the industry, Ernest Obi, took to his Instagram page to announce the development and solicited for help to fund the Elder Maya’s treatment which would cost about N1million.
The actor is fondly called Papa Labista, and is popular for his village chief priest’s roles in movies.
He wrote: “Help save Elder Maya’s life. His real name is Martins Njubuigbo, an actor, poet, singer. A full fledged thespian, who has given over twenty years of his life to film.”
