On Saturday September 27, 2014, U.S. airstrikes continued to hit Islamic State fighters in Syria at Kobani, a town near the border with Turkey.
The video, now available on YouTube was released by U.S. Central Command late Saturday. It shows the power of F-15E Strike Eagles as they annihilate an Islamic State compound.
“The United States conducted this strike as part of the President’s comprehensive strategy to degrade and ultimately defeat ISIL [the Islamic State],” the Central Command statement with the video said.
“Going forward, the U.S. military will continue to conduct targeted airstrikes against ISIL in Syria and Iraq as local forces go on the offensive against this terrorist group.”
