Four military personal attached to the Special Task Force (STF) on Jos crisis have been feared killed by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Monday, May, 26, 2014 at Gida Bua village of Langtang South Local Government Area of the state.
A villager from Gida Bua, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to our THISDAY on phone Monday said that the soldiers were patrolling the village in their military van in the early hours of Monday when the gunmen opened fire on them killing four, adding that the remaining five escaped.
He said nine of the soldiers were on board the van when the gunmen struck, but five were able to escape.
The Chairman of the LGA , Mr Bendel Nancwat who confirmed the incident however appealed for calm as security operatives were on top of the situation.
When contacted, the spokesman of the STF , captain Ikedichi Iweha said he would get back to our reporter when he gets the details concerning the attack.
