Two rivals decided to seek revenge by shooting each other’s mom. Jimmie Harris, Jr., 25, and Montreal Ford, 22, both shοt up several North Charleston, SC homes following a dispute.
According to local police, Harris and Ford got into a fight at Club Crucial nightclub on the morning of Thursday, January 2. Shortly before 5am, Harris went to Ford’s mother’s home and fired several shots through the front door. Ford’s mother, Sabrina Green, 41, was wounded. Police say the woman recovered from her wounds. At approximately 5:40am, Ford shot up the residence of Harris’ stepmother, Janet Royal, 52, fatally wounding her. Harris proceeded to shoot up a third home, fatally striking a 49-year-old woman named Debra Randall Martin. Police are unsure as to why he targeted the third home.
Harris was charged with murder, attempted murder and the possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Ford was charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Although police were able to gather enough evidence to charge the men, the case may still fall apart if members of the community do not come forward with more information. Police Chief Eddie Driggers is urging anyone who knows anything about the case to come forward. “It’s one thing to charge. It’s another to prosecute,” Driggers said.
