The very first thing God created was light. That’s quite a revelation. When you are in a dark place, or when you sense darkness anywhere, the first thing to do is to turn on the light. Light refers to the word of God; it refers to revelation of God’s will.
Psalms 82:5 says, “They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are unstable.” In other words, when you are ignorant of the word of God on any issue, or do not have an understanding of His will, you are walking in darkness! And dark places are where the devil loves to operate; he does all he can to keep people in the dark so as to be able to deceive and manipulate them; he wants people in the dark so as to make them stumble.
Matthew 6:22 talks about the whole body being full of light! Wow! Have you been into a very bright room before? That’s what Jesus was talking about; filling up yourself with too much word that there’s no space at all for darkness! No wonder Paul said to let the word of God dwell in you richly! When you are full of light, you will not stumble because the word of God in you will be a lamp unto your feet and a light for your path! Hallelujah!
