Hundreds are dead and nearly a thousand others are injured or missing after a volcanic eruption triggered a tsunami that struck Indonesia Saturday night, December 22, 2018.
One video going viral on social media showed the moment the violent wave of water crashed into an ongoing concert.
According to CNN, Indonesian pop band “Seventeen” was on stage when the tsunami struck the concert venue in the Sunda Strait.

Unfortunately, the band manager and bass player died, while many other band members are missing or injured, the almost unscathed lead singer told fans on Sunday, December 23, 2018.
“Please pray that we can find Andi, Herman and Ujang and my wife,” Riefian Fajarsyah said.
It’s not clear how many concertgoers were killed or injured in the tsunami.
Indonesian officials said the tsunami was triggered by the eruption of the Anak Krakatoa volcano, which likely caused underwater landslides. Unfortunately, there was no warning a tsunami would strike, according to The Guardian.
