The newly appointed Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has finally left the government house for the palace of the Emir on Friday, June 13, 2014.
Sanusi had been using the government house as his temporary palace after the palace was sealed up by policemen when residents of Kano protested against his selection as Emir.
The police authorities maintain that they sealed up the palace to prevent the protesters from gaining access into the compound.
There are unconfirmed media reports which say that Sanusi apologised to President Jonathan to secure the unsealing of the palace.
