The National Assembly elections petitions tribunal sitting in Awka, yesterday, affirmed the declaration of Mrs. Stella Oduah by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as the duly elected senator for Anambra North senatorial zone.
Oduah was dragged to the tribunal by the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Dubem Obaze, who alleged that there were irregularities during the March 28, 2015 polls.
According to the petitioner, there was falsification of figures during the polls. He argued further that if the actual votes were properly counted, he ought to be declared the winner of the zone.
Also declared duly elected were Chief Chukwuma Onyema and Mrs. Eucharia Azodo for Ogbaru and Aguata federal constituencies.
