Valentine’s Day, which was celebrated globally on Sunday, February 14, has claimed the life of an Assistant Commissioner of Police in Lagos.
Chris Orji, President, Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, (CRAN), in a post on his facebook wall identified ACP Usong Ekpo as the victim.
Ekpo was said to have gone to a popular hotel located in the Ajah area of Lagos to celebrate the Val Day with his friends, when he drowned while swimming.
Until his death, Ekpo, an indigene of Akwa Ibom State was the Commander Area K Police Command, Lagos, who gave hoodlums and suspected criminals around Lekki area hell.
He was one of the officers recently promoted for his gallantly and bravery in tackling criminality in Lagos in particular and Nigeria in general.
