KADUNA – Gunmen raided a home in Kaura local government area of Kaduna State on Friday, January 31st 2914, killing a 47-year-old man, his wife and five children.
The gunmen stormed the house of Mr Sunday Abin, a security guard with Robber Research Department of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, in Manyi Akuru village, a suburb of Manchok town, dominated by the Ashuole tribe killing him, his wife and all his five children at a spot, including a five-month old baby.

Our correspondent who was at the scene saw the dead body of Mr Sunday lying in pool of blood, after being shot dead and his tongue removed.
His wife, who was breastfeeding a toddler, was shot dead with the baby. One of the daughters, a teenager was killed and her bowel exposed.
LEADERSHIP Weekend learnt that the seven were shot and cut with machetes.
The assailants, who were said to be about 20, later went to the compound of Kafwai Banta and set the entire home, including foodstuff ablaze before moving to another compound.
Villagers told our correspondent that Mr Banta narrowly escaped been hurt after he fled from his house upon hearing the cries of the Mr Abins.
The attackers, who could not gain entrance into the home of Kaza Zamani, set a car in the compound ablaze then disappeared into the bush.
Our correspondent gathered that all the killings and burnings took place less than one kilometre from a military check point in along Jos road but none of assailant was apprehended.
The younger brother of the deceased, Jashua Abins who spoke to leadership in tears, said the attackers came while the people were deeply asleep.
He gave the names of the people killed as Nathanial Abins (Father), Ruth Abins (Wife), Clement Abins, Cynthia Abins.
