Toure-Inspired Manchester City Makes Early Title Statement

English premier league giants, Manchester City have fired a stern warning to other premier league title rivals that they mean more than business this time around.

The Mancunian blues went away to defeat West Brom 3-0 for their first game of the 2015/2016 premier league season. It was a competitive debut for Manchester City’s £49m man, Raheem Sterling. The hosts also had some debut players including former Southampton and Liverpool man, Rickie Lambert.

The first goal of the game through a Yaya Toure shot which went into the net after a deflection from the little Spaniard, David Silva. The second came through a fierce Yaya Toure shot from outside the box and the goal was made in Ivory Coast; Wilfried Bony had passed the ball to his countryman who fired a massive curly shot past the host’s goalkeeper. The final goal of the game came through a great header by City’s skipper, Vincent Kompany.

Manchester City faces Chelsea next on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Etihad.
