You might think fame-hungry Kris Jenner would be far from Kanye West’s ideal mother-in-law.
But it seems the Kardashian matriarch does much to fill the hole left in the rapper’s life by the death of his own mother, Donda.
In a heart-warming gesture, Kanye and fiancé Kim Kardashian showered 58-year-old Kris with designer gifts to mark Mother’s Day.
No expense was spared as the couple presented Kris with a Saint Laurent leather jacket and fancy Maison Martin Margiela purse.
‘And then there’s THIS!! What girl wouldn’t LOVE a little Saint Laurent and Maison Martin Margiela on Mothers Day?!’ wrote an obviously ebullient Kris.
‘Thank you @kimkardashian @kanyewest I love you both so much!!! #blessed.’
Kanye has confounded doubters with his warm relationship with Kris, publicly stating how much he enjoys being a part of a big family.
But while he made his soon to be mother-in-law very happy on Sunday, Kanye first made sure to remember his own much-missed mother.

Kanye was heartbroken when Donda died aged just 58 back in 2007, from complications caused by heart disease after undergoing intensive plastic surgery.
He called the death ‘like losing an arm and a leg and trying to walk through that’.
But Kanye also made sure to focus on the positives in his life.
And for his fiancée Kim, who was celebrating her own first Mother’s Day, he pulled out all the stops – presenting her with a wall of flowers.
‘I woke up to a wall of roses, hydrangeas and peonies!!!
‘I have the best fiancé in the world! I love you so much baby!!!! #HappyMothersDay,’ Kim captioned an Instagram snap.
The picture shows a large square of pale pink, white and light green blooms positioned outside on a lawn.
There was also a snap of the baby who has done much to heal Kanye’s loss – his daughter North.
‘This little girl has changed my world in more ways than I ever could have imagined!’ Kim captioned the black-and-white picture.
‘Being a mom is the most rewarding feeling in the world! Happy Mothers Day to all of the moms out there!’.
The reality star is seen lying on her back on a plush white fur rug as she coos over her little girl, who rests her hands and feet on her famous mother.
Kardashian also shared a tribute to her mother.
Kris Jenner also shares snaps of gifts and flowers she got from her family, including Bruce Jenner.
Jenner also shared a photo of her with her mother Mary Jo Campbell. ‘One of my life’s biggest blessings!’, she wrote along with the photo which shows the two women smiling alongside one another in a photo booth.
