Popular 90s singer, Tony Tetuila has joined the growing rank of entertainers who have delved into politics, declaring his intention to represent Irepodun Local Government at the Kwara State House of Assemby under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to a report by Channels TV.
The former member of music group “Remedies”, Tetuila went on to have a successful solo career in the 1990s. His most popular song was ‘Repete’.
His move into politics makes him the latest entertainer to seek a career change. Before him have been comedian Julius Agwu, singer 9ice, and actors Desmond Elliot and Kate Henshaw-Nuttal who have all made their political ambitions known ahead of the 2015 election season.
