Segun Abraham, one of the defeated All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirants in just concluded primary in Ondo State, has rejected the result of the exercise and the candidate that emerged, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu.
Abraham, who had earlier congratulated the winner of the primaries, rejected the outcome on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, stating that he took the decision following the gale of allegations and malpractices that have since rocked the conduct and the process of the gubernatorial primary held last weekend.
The frontline aspirant, Olusegun Abraham, who polled 635 votes to finish second place, alleged that the process leading to the primary election was manipulated and compromised to favour the winner.
In a statement which was signed by the director-general of his campaign, Prince Olu Adegboro, and made available to journalists in Akure, the aspirant stated that the outcome of the election is “unacceptable,” considering the plethora of staggering facts of anomalies that have since emerged to the demerit of the exercise.
Abraham has been rumoured to be the “anointed” candidate of Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the APC.
