Co-founder of messaging service WhatsApp, Brian Acton was looking for a job five years ago when his 11-year-old job with Yahoo came to an end.
After filling many engineering roles at Yahoo he went back to network with recruiters.

He went to Facebook but was turned down:

Acton teamed up with a colleague, Jan Koum, at Yahoo to build WhatsApp in 2009.
Today Facebook has bought WhatsApp for $19 billion.
