[dropcap]I[/dropcap] am so pleased to learn that the killer husband has been apprehended. See lovely family photos everywhere.
There is a special reason why I rarely discuss my marriage and family affairs publicly… Part of the reason is that lovey-dovey appearances of love are quite often, artificial cover-ups for painful cracks within the union. A stable marriage does not need excessive advertisement. It radiates.

I am content with being respected and loved privately. Whether it is working or not is my private business. No entry or exit dramas required. But yet, while I remain married, I am guided by certain fundamental principles:
If I catch you cheating, I go.
If you catch me, I go.
If you give me strong reasons to doubt your fidelity, I go.
If you suspect me too, I’d still go.
(In Nigerian English) I cannot come and go and kill myself anyhow-anyhow in the name of answering “missis”. A happy, single, divorced woman is better off than a dead missus lying 6 feet beneath the earth. Nobody can take care of a woman’s children better than she can. Nobody!
Think about it!
