This is one advert that Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi may either love it or hate it.
Placed in the Vanguard, Wednesday, May 27, 2015, by Phrank Shuaibu, a public relations consultant, the advert casts Amaechi as a Roman soldier and alludes to him being the ‘nemesis of Jesus of Otuoke and and her baby Jesus of the Rock’.
History has it that Jesus Christ, the Lord and Saviour of the Christian religion was executed by Roman soldiers.
This is an afront on the sensibilities of Christians for a supposed public relations consultant to place an advert alluding to President Jonathan and his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan as ‘Jesus’ and ‘her baby Jesus’, first of all. Then to go further by likening Amaechi to the Roman soldiers who killed Jesus Christ, then hail him as a lion.
This advert is in total bad taste and we expect Amaechi to denounce this advert and its sponsor.
