The Kano State Police Command has rescued a man held captive by his father and stepmother for seven years.
32-year-old Ahmad Aliyu was held for seven years in Farawa Babban Layi, Mariri Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the State.
Aliyu’s case caught the attention of the police after a neighbour shared a video of him that went viral.
Speaking on his experience in captivity, Aliyu narrated how he would resort to drinking his urine when he would stay for days without food or water.
His father and stepmother have been arrested by the police and Aliyu taken away for rehabilitation.
