The police in Edo State are currently on the trail to arrest a man, Henry Ekukpe, for allegedly killing his wife during a face-off.
The deceased identified as Mrs Patience Ekukpe, 30, was said to have had an argument with her husband who subsequently slashed her face, arms and chest with a very sharp cutlass.
According to reports, Mr Ekukpe abandoned his wife to bleed to death after which he disappeared into thin air.
The immediate elder brother to the deceased, Justice Aibomosi took to his Facebook page to narrate the terrible incident on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.
The bereaved brother called on the police to ensure the suspect is apprehended and made to face the full wrath of the law.
He wrote: “My brothers and sisters it pains me deep down my soul for MR, HENRY EKUPKE who called him self a pastor to have indulge in such an evil act by killing his wife, who had 7months old baby for him with a cutlass and a knife. Oooo what a painful death.
“This particular girl is my immediate younger sister I will not rest until I have this particular man on my arms. Pls pls pls my brothers and sisters share with me on this photo to any part of the world in search of this evil man and in any part of the world you finds this man, please do call for the nearest police station for his immediate arrest….thanks for your concern”
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Osifo Abiodun confirmed the incident while frantic efforts were being made to ensure the man’s arrest.
