A 45-year-old female teacher has landed in the police net after she scheduled a meeting with her 11-year-old student at a movie theater.
Alecia Dotson of Florida, was said to have brought strawberry flavored lubricant to the venue hoping to engage the fifth grade student in a steamy escapade.
Investigative police officials at Lakeland after seeing over 100 suspicious text message between the teacher and student decided to impersonate the student and their trap caught the erring teacher.
The teacher who works at the Highland Grove Elementary School, called the boy “Love Bug” and she disclosed to officials that she used to be his mentor before she developed a crush on him.
The boy’s mother learned of the inappropriate relationship when she read a text message on his phone. She found dozens of graphic and sexually explicit messages, and called the police, World Wide Weird News reports.
Officers were still at the home when the teacher sent the boy another text that said, “Love Bug what you’re doing.”
Police seized the boy’s phone and on Tuesday, July 1, 2015 Dotson sent another text that read, “Are you awake Love Bug.”
Officers who posed as the student replied to the text message which instigated a further response from the teacher leading to the sex meeting schedule at the Lakeland mall movie theater.
Hoping to see her ‘Love Bug’ Dotson stopped by at a mall and bought strawberry warming lubricant but things didn’t go as planned as she landed right in the police net on arrival at the cinema.
During interrogation, the amorous teacher told investigators that her love affair with the boy began about three weeks ago.
