A swarm of bees interrupted a pre-season friendly match on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Oldham’s ground in north-west England.
It took the intervention of a bee-keeper who was called to clear the hive and calm the situation before the Oldham Athletic’s game against Blackburn Rovers continued.
“You cannot BEE serious? Hope everyone is swarming down to SportsDirect.com Park today… ” tweeted Oldham FC.

The experts used protective gear and a leaf blower to remove the bees before play could eventually get underway.
The match commenced as soon as the insects were cleared from the goalpost and Blackburn defeated Oldham FC with 2-0.
