The Plateau State Police Command have arrested a middle aged man, suspected to be a Boko Haram member, on Monday, May 12, 2014 was who caught allegedly spying on policemen undertaking parade rehearsals at the Mobile Police Barracks, Sector 8 in Jos, Plateau State in preparation for the pulling out ceremony of the state police commissioner, Mr. Chris Olakpe.
Meanwhile there has been recent complaints by members of the public over the presence of strangers parading parts of Jos and Bukuru metropolis.
According to police reports, the presence of the suspect near the parade ground raised the suspicion of those on parade and when the police tried to interrogate the young man, he took to his heels towards the nursery and primary school building located within the barracks but was unable to escape as he was apprehended by some policemen.
During the interrogation process, the young man revealed he was a Kanuri by tribe and had come from Gonori in the Gujba Local Government area of Yobe State.
Plateau State Police Spokeperson, Felicia Anslem confirmed the arrest, adding that investigation had commenced to determine the identity and mission of the suspect.

The suspect has been transferred to the Anguljos police station for further questioning.
