Nigeria’s senior female national team, the Super Falcons on Friday, October 17, 2014 maintained their 100% run at the ongoing Africa Women Championship (AWC) in Namibia as they beat the hosts by two goals to nil.
The falcons took the lead after Gloria Ofuegbu scored a 36th minute free kick, a minute before Francesca Ordega doubled the lead, sealing the win which saw Nigeria top the group with nine points.
Falcons coach had rested several first team players as the team had already booked their place in the semi-finals following wins over Zambia and Cote D’Ivoire
They will now face the group B runner up on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 for a place in the final.
