Three suspected suicide bombers have met their respective “Waterloo” in Potiskum area of Yobe State after an unsuccessful attempt to blow up a business college in the area.
According to reports, the three suspected bombers entered the College of Arts and Business Studies, but were discouraged after sighting heavy security on ground.One of the bombers was said to have blown himself up, killing himself and injuring six others, who are currently receiving treatment for various degrees of injuries. The other two suspects took to their heels but were subsequently arrested.

A statement issued from the Yobe State Command of the Nigerian Police Force reads thus:
“At about 8:15am three suspected suicide bombers entered College of Arts and Business Studies Potiskum, Yobe State. Due to the security arraignment on ground, one of the attackers blew himself up, he died on the spot injuring six other persons. All six injured persons have been rushed to the hospital where they are receiving medical treatment.
“Two other suicide bombers took to their heels but both suspects have now been arrested at different locations after coordinated pursuit. One AK 47 rifle and ammunition recovered from suspects.
“THE ONLY DEATH RECORDED AT THE MOMENT FROM #POTISKUM INCIDENT IS ONE SUICIDE BOMBER. Commissioner of Police #Yobe State is on the ground in Potiskum coordinating security activities/response.”
