Recently nominated “ONLINE PUBLICATION OF THE YEAR”, FAB AWARDS 2012, the blogazine is into catchy trends, with topics ranging from fragrances to make-up tips, to ManStyle, models, editorials, red carpet, upcoming fashion events, news and scoops in Nigeria & beyond! It also addresses the multifarious and multidimensional fashions that abound in the music and movie world.

The Big Apple has served as inspiration to many but the one designer currently making raves is Kate Spade.

Her recent Fall/Winter 2013 Collection has a lot working for me! With a picturesque theme of black and yellow, we see a complete outfit from earring to a coat, tote, skirt, heels and everything in between with a girly twist. This is one fashion brand that allows you freedom to have FUNctional pieces and accessories without any style qualms. Using Kate Spade’s highly selective palette, I’d love to offer a few style tips (though not comprehensive) for a discerning ubër stylish young lady!

STYLE TIPS:
One thing to note is that yellow and black are “strange bedfellows” in the colour family. So any pairing should be done with keen understanding of how opposites attract. If you’re getting a full black dress, you could pair a yellow chic choker neckpiece, a clutch with a shade of yellow and black slingbacks or peeptoe sandals (as shown above).

On the second option where it is bi-colour frock, this become tricky BUT NOT impossible to rock as there are fine accessories to pick from. Shoes shouldn’t be a problem.

If you’re having an official engagement to attend, get a black dress with a little touch of yellow (be it in its trimmings or hemlines).

Like I always advise, get across someone who is seasoned in styling and your troubles will be solved greatly.
