The body of a man was found in the landing gear wheel well of a South African Airways plane parked at Washington Dulles International Airport Saturday, authorities said.
The body was discovered at about 1:30 p.m. by a ground crew assigned to the plane, an Airbus A340, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. The plane was parked in a remote area of the airport.
Authorities are investigating the man’s death. His body will be turned over to the Fairfax County Medical Examiner’s Office.
