A staff of Rhythm 94.7 FM Abuja, one of Senator Ben Murray’s owned enterprise, Meka Akerejola is lying helpless in a Hospital located at India and is in need of an urgent kidney transplant.
Earlier on, in 2012 news about Meka’s condition went viral in the social media when #SaveMeka hashtag trended, calling on Nigerians to help raise funds for his treatment.
It was gathered by The Breaking Times on Thursday, June 25, 2015 that the Management of Silverbird Communications is yet to move a muscle to help since Meka’s fell into his predicament since 2012.
An insider working at Silverbird while granting an interview with TheBreakingTimes.com, stated that on Thursday, June 25, 2015 that the Chairman of Silverbird, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce refused an invitation to chair a private fundraising event for Meka in 2012.
The source said, “They haven’t given him a dime.
“It was so bad that for the Chairman to even attend a fundraising event organized for Meka in 2012, was a problem.”
Meanwhile, Senator Bruce went viral when he boasted via his Twitter handle, his decision to donate his wardrobe allowance to unpaid workers in Osun State.
Meka Akerejola is a popular voice in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
He is known as an on-air-personality on Rhythm FM 94.7, adjudged as one Silverbird’s finest voices on radio.
Mr Akerejola had been diagnosed with the end stage of chronic kidney disease and was a twice-weekly dialysis since 2012 before he currently moved to India.
He has been billed for a kidney transplant in Indian Hospital.
Mr Akerejola is from Kogi State and has a degree in Mass Communication from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
