The Calabar Carnival has come a long way. It all started 2004, when the then governor of Cross River State,Mr Donald Duke, had a vision of making his state the hub for tourism and hospitality in Nigeria and in Africa.
Indeed, Cross River State and Calabar have become the pride of Nigeria or Africa for tourism, carnivals, and hospitality.
This years edition held today December 27th 2013. Pictured above is Mr Donald Duke riding a scooter.
